Big Data Implementation Engineer


Syntasa, a leading AI-assisted Customer Intelligence platform, is looking for a Big Data Implementation Engineer to support and grow relationships with new and existing clients. As part of an expanding product team, you will be responsible for delivering the Syntasa solution, either as part of an initial pilot with a prospect, or managing the technical aspects, including installation and support for our fully licensed customers.

The role would suit someone looking to combine their existing web analytics implementation experience with a move into the realm of big data, cloud computing, machine learning, and AI. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a company growing at a rapid pace!

Some essential functions for this role include serving as a subject matter expert for all Syntasa offerings; traveling to client sites to conduct hands-on implementation and support; receiving customer enhancement requests and coordinating these with Product Management; prototyping customer enhancement requests; receiving and coordinating customer enhancement requests with Product Management; working closely with the Syntasa Project Management team to ensure project activity is recorded and communicated appropriately; coordinating and consulting with internal teams, vendors and other third parties to ensure customer satisfaction; and keeping abreast of developments within the big data, web analytics, machine learning, and AI sectors

Required Qualifications

  • Programming experience with SQL, Python, Java, and scripting languages (e.g. Bash)
  • Appreciation of big data platforms, including cloud-based concepts and technologies, Google, AWS, and Azure
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including experience working with senior stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science
