DevOps Engineer

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Systems, or comparable
  • 1-3 years' experience
  • Proficient with Linux (CentOS/Ubuntu)
  • Knowledge of Java/Perl/Shell Scripting
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP socket IO, FTP, SFTP and other protocols
  • Ability to install and maintain web application containers (Tomcat/JBoss)
  • Exposure to cloud networking concepts (Firewalls, Switches, VPCs, Gateways, etc.)
  • Experience with agile development
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience interfacing and working with end-users and clients
  • Excellent technical capabilities, ability to solve problems without much guidance, and self-starter

Preferred Qualifications

  • Clearance (any level) for Government work, or ability to obtain one
  • Experience with Classified systems
  • Ability to architecture out new deployments and implement them
  • Exposure to Big Data technologies (Apache Spark, Hadoop, Hive, Kafka, JMS, Cloudera CDH, etc.)
